Dharma week with Jigme Rinpoche
30. August – 4. September 2025 | Männedorf-Zürich

For the second time, we had the privilege of welcoming Lama Jigme Rinpoche as a guest for a whole week at our annual major event. At the weekend, he gave the empowerment for ‘Manjushri on the Lion’ and ‘Green Tara’, preceded by precious Dharma teachings.
This year’s event was further enriched by our guests from India: Ani Tsultrim, the leader of the nunnery in Rumtek, for which we have been collecting donations since our first major event in 2022, and Ragav, one of the carpenters of the wooden temple in Dikling.
On Saturday, we showed a short film about both projects and collected donations for the ‘Rumtek Nuns Circle of Friends’ and the ‘Wooden Temple in Dikling.’ On Sunday afternoon, the Dhagpo team presented their institute with an interesting documentary film.
This year, we also held a cultural event on Monday evening with a book launch for Lama Jigme Rinpoche’s new book ‘Working with the Emotions’. During the week, Lama Jigme Rinpoche gave various Dharma teachings on a smaller scale on dealing with emotions in everyday life based on the Chenrezig practice.
In the afternoons, students from the Dhagpo Institute presented ‘A Glimpse at the History: The Karma Kagyu Lineage in Buddhism’ and Lama Chönyi gave explanations on the Green Tara practice. We practised silent meditation, Sheng Zhen training and the Chenrezig practice together every day. It was such a rich Dharma week that Lama Jigme Rinpoche said at the end: ‘It was perfect!’ We are already looking forward to next year!
